Alvin never expected death to come with a bill attached. The premise blends cyberpunk fatalism with dungeon-crawl adrenaline, anchored by a protagonist whose moral ambiguity makes him far more compelling than a conventional hero.

Andrea Parsneau brings a sardonic edge to Alvin's inner voice that elevates the material considerably. Her pacing through action sequences is crisp, and she handles the story's tonal shifts, from dark humor to genuine menace, without losing momentum. At eleven and a half hours, the runtime moves quickly, a sign that Parsneau keeps the listener fully inside Alvin's head rather than just moving through plot. Fans of progression fantasy and LitRPG will find this a particularly satisfying audio experience.
